about

I wrote this song and the lyrics on December 30th while walking to our old rehearsal space. It's a thirty minute walk and the melody and chords came to me without any conscious thought or real effort on my part. The words came to me almost automatically, as sort of a lyrical reflection of the impression that the melody implied. They're not about anything really, so far as I can tell. It's a day dream I had while walking in the snow.

lyrics

Please don't ever forget
the words to that poem
That washed up along
with the sea foam
Nobody has to know
Secret and separate
Lives lived side by side
We are bees in a beehive
I'm just trying to keep warm

Animal Holograms Chicago, Illinois

Psych-rock sextet sometimes labeled a grungegaze "outfit?" making dream pop music for downtrodden scumbag droves sporting mothball, over-sized flannel & fashionably expressive shredded, sewer-stained, denim heirlooms called "My fucking jeans, you fascist!". We're admittedly naive to the grunge/90's alt rock revival subculture apparently all the rage suddenly...
